Whistling Wings Photography, LLC. is a small enterprise that leads very small groups (maximum 4-6 photographers) on exciting bird and wildlife photography tours.  Our small group provides great flexibility in our itineraries in ways larger tour companies cannot.  However, this does not allow us to absorb late cancellations and stay in business.  So, please read our policies below.   

Registration:

Registrations are made in the order received. We may place you on a waiting list depending upon the circumstances of a particular tour or workshop.  In order to register for a tour or workshop you must contact Whistling Wings Photography, LLC. via email or phone.

Deposits:

Day Tours

A deposit of $75 per person per tour date booked is required to hold a tour.  An exception to this policy may be made if tour date is only a few days away when reservation is made.

Workshops/Multi-Day Tours

A deposit of $850 of the workshop fee is required for registration.  The remaining fee balance is due 60 days prior to the workshop. 

Refunds:

Day Tours

Deposits for day tours are not refundable if tour is cancelled within 45 days of the tour date.  If a tour is cancelled within a week of the tour date the full tour fee is owed for each person cancelling . 

Once a tour is started (half or full day) full payment for the tour is due upon the tours completion even if weather or other factors cut the tour short of scheduled time.   

Workshops/Multi-Day Tours

Notification in writing to the Whistling Wings Photography, LLC. office 90+ days before trip departure results in a refund of your deposit. Absolutely no refunds after start date of tour.  Cancellation 90 to 60 days before the tour start date results in loss of your deposit.

Cancellation 59-30 days before trip departure: Forfeit 50% of the complete trip price.

Cancellation 29 or fewer days before trip departure: Forfeit 100% of complete trip price.

Transfers: You may transfer from one trip to another up to 90 days before departure date without penalty if room is available on the alternate trip.

Whistling Wings Photography, LLC. reserves the right to make route and lodging modifications as needed. Should Whistling Wings Photography, LLC. cancel a trip within 45 days of departure due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

If Whistling Wings Photography, LLC. should cancel a tour within 45 days for other reasons, such as natural disaster, you will receive a full refund.

An administration fee of $100.00 will be charged against your deposit when a tour has been cancelled and Whistling Wings Photography, LLC. has attempted to offer you another date and you cancel.

Once the official tour itinerary and hotel accommodations list have been issued, there will be no refund of deposit.

Payments: $850.00 deposit (or amount specified on tour detail page) per person is required at the time of commitment.

Balance of tour is required a minimum of 60 days before departure. $50.00 per day will be assessed for payments made later than the required date.

Some tours may have different deposit and cancelation policies than those listed here.  Please read each tour description carefully and if you have questions about these policies please contact Ron directly.

Changes to Itineraries:

We reserve the right to change the itinerary of workshops and tours to take advantage of opportunities or on account of weather or other circumstances so as to provide the best experience for our clients.

To preserve the enjoyment and constructive nature of tours and workshops for all participants, disruptive participants will be dismissed from the tour or workshop without refund or any other compensation; including costs of returning home or to any other destination post dismissal.
