Whistling Wings Photography is a small enterprise that leads very small groups (maximum 4-6 photographers) on exciting bird and wildlife photography tours. Our small group provides great flexibility in our itineraries in ways larger tour companies cannot. However, this does not allow us to absorb late cancellations and stay in business. So, please read our policies below.
Registrations are made in the order received. We may place you on a waiting list depending upon the circumstances of a particular tour or workshop. In order to register for a tour or workshop you must contact Whistling Wings Photography via email or phone.
A deposit of 50% of the day tour fee is required to hold your date. An exception to this policy may be made if tour date is only a few days away when reservation is made.
A deposit of $650 of the workshop fee is required for registration. The remaining fee balance is due 60 days prior to the workshop.
Deposits for day tours are not refundable. Deposits can be applied to a rescheduling of the tour or to an alternate tour on another date.
Notification in writing (no e-mails please) to the Whistling Wings Photography office 120+ days before trip departure results in a refund of your $650 deposit. Absolutely no refunds after start date of tour. If you cancel 119-91 days before the tour start date result is loss of your $650 deposit.
50-90 days before trip departure: Forfeit 25% of the complete trip price. 30-49 days before trip departure: Forfeit 65% of the complete trip price. 15-29 days before trip departure: Forfeit 85% of the complete trip price. 10-14 days before trip departure: No refund
Transfers: You may transfer from one trip to another up to 60 days before departure date without penalty if room is available on the alternate trip.
Whistling Wings Photography reserves the right to make route and lodging modifications as needed. Should Whistling Wings Photography cancel a trip within 45 days of departure due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
If Whistling Wings Photography should cancel a tour within 45 days for other reasons, such as natural disaster, you will receive a full refund.
An administration fee of $200.00 will be charged against your deposit when a tour has been cancelled and Whistling Wings Photography has attempted to offer you another date and you cancel.
Once the official tour itinerary and hotel accommodations list have been issued, there will be no refund of $650.00 deposit.
Payments: $650.00 per person is required at the time of commitment.
Balance of tour is required a minimum of 60 days before departure. $50.00 per day will be assessed for payments made later than the required date.
Changes to Itineraries:
We reserve the right to change the itinerary of workshops and tours to take advantage of opportunities or on account of weather or other circumstances so as to provide the best experience for our clients.
To preserve the enjoyment and constructive nature of tours and workshops for all participants, disruptive participants will be dismissed from the tour or workshop without refund or any other compensation; including costs of returning home or to any other destination post dismissal.
