ROSEATE SPOONBILLS

This is a boat-based tour where you will have the opportunity to photograph nesting Roseate Spoonbills and several other species of wading birds at a rookery.  You will shoot from my customized pontoon. For more information on the boat click here

We commonly see spoonbills bringing nesting materials back to their nests.  As the young hatch there are opportunities to photograph the adults feeding the young.  As the young start to fledge later in the nesting season the large amount of flight activity makes for great flight shots.

Other species at the rookery include Snowy egrets, Cattle egrets, Tri-colored herons, Yellow- and Black-crowned night herons, and Great egrets.

Full-day trips also are available (8 hours; morning and evening shoot)
